Explanation[]

An old male Mizutsune that has further evolved in order to better protect itself against potential threats. Now its tail constantly produces a bubblefoam that could change at anytime.

Developed Parts[]

Zenith Mizutsune's developed part is its tail.

Aesthetic Differences[]

Aura of bubbles coming from hairs on tail, large protrusions on tail, larger claws, wounds around face, red eyes, larger fins on head, blue glow coming from body when enraged, red and white stripes on purple fur, and small amount of thin fur under neck.

Attacks and Moves[]

Zenith Mizutsune shares the same attacks as Mizutsune.

GR200-400[]

Slumbering Dragon: When hunters first start the quest, the Zenith Mizutsune will be asleep in one of the zones of the location. Unlike Soulseer Mizutsune, it is coiled up like it is ready to perform a backslam while it is sleeping. If a hunter gets too close to the sleeping Zenith Mizutsune, it'll wake up and quickly slam its back on the ground before rolling around in the ground, leaving behind a large puddle of bubblefoam. Once it's done rolling around in the ground, it'll get up and roar.

Floating Hunters: Zenith Mizutsune's bubbles are quite different from other Mizutsune. If a hunter is hit by the bubbles twice, the hunter will actually be sent floating in the air for a few seconds, leaving them open to attacks. After a few seconds, the bubbles will pop, dropping the hunter on the ground.

Bubble Brushing: This Mizutsune is known for constantly rubbing its tail on the ground. It does this in order to leave behind small puddles of bubblefoam for hunters to slip around in.

Bubbly Bites: Now when Mizutsune bites, a bit of bubblefoam will pop out of its mouth. If hunters are hit by the bite, it will cause Bubbleblight. When enraged, its bites can cause Fireblight.

Leaking Tail: Unlike normal Mizutsune, a large number of small bubbles are constantly coming from Zenith Mizutsune's tail. These bubbles can attach to a hunter and cause Bubbleblight, however, sometimes these bubbles have an unusual color to them due to it putting a certain ailment on its tail.

Slippery Puddles: Zenith Mizutsune's puddles are act as a hazard for hunters to avoid. These puddles cause hunters to slip around like crazy yet doesn't cause Bubbleblight. These puddles remain in the battlefield for thirty seconds.

Hazardous Puddles: This one is similar to the Slippery Puddles, however, these puddles are deadlier. Sometimes the puddles are fiery in nature, but other times the puddles have bits of crystals in them or just have a dark appearance. These puddles stay in the battlefield for twenty five seconds.

Bubble Barrage: Zenith Mizutsune rears its head back before breathing a barrage of bubbles from its mouth. This attack can cause Bubbleblight.

Tail Spin-Water Beam Combo: Zenith Mizutsune will curve its tail back before swing it forward, sending five bubbles at foes in front of it. As it does this, it will breath a beam of water as it spins forward. This attack can cause Waterblight and Bubbleblight.

Zinogre's Tail Backflip: It will take a few steps forward before performing a tail backflip, much like Zinogre. When it slams its tail on the ground, it'll cause a massive splash that could damage hunters heavily and cause Bubbleblight.

Changing Bubbles: Zenith Mizutsune turns around to face its tail and breaths a beam of water into its tail, causing bubbles to foam up in its tail. Noticeably, the beam's color can vary. Once it is done breathing water in its tail, it'll shake its tail on the ground three times revealing what ailment or element it has in its tail. Once the ailment or element is in its tail, it will no longer cause Bubbleblight on its tail for about two minutes and the fur on its tail will be a different color. Blurry purple = Blind, Blue = Fire, Pink = Crystallization.

Rage of the Kitsune: When Zenith Mizutsune gets in Rage Mode, it will coil up and spin in place, causing blue bubbles to erupt from its fur, before it stands in place roars. These blue bubbles can cause Fireblight.

Foxfire: Now when enraged, Zenith Mizutsune will breath only fiery bubbles from its mouth. It will also be able to breath a fiery beam from its mouth, unlike Soulseer Mizutsune.

Casual Tail Swipe: It raises its tail up before quickly swing it, sending five bubbles at hunters behind it. This attack can cause Bubbleblight, Fireblight, Crystallization, and or Blind.

Blue Moon Flip: Only performed when the Fire Element is on its tail. Zenith Mizutsune gets in a particular pose before spinning pass the hunter twice, sending multiple blue bubbles at the hunter, before rearing back. When it rears back, it'll charge up for a second before performing its infamous tail flip. Unlike the normal one, it'll leave behind blue flames that form a circular shape, similar to a moon, that increase the range of the attack. This causes Fireblight.

Intense Inferno: Only performed when the Fire Element is on its tail. Much like G-rank Hellblade Glavenus, Zenith Mizutsune will look back at the hunter as it builds up fiery strength in its tail before slamming it down on the ground. When its slam its tail on the ground, a large fiery explosion will cover a small radius around its tail before it looks back and fights normally. This attack can cause Fireblight.

False Flinch: Only performed when the Blind ailment is on its tail. Zenith Mizutsune will pretend to be flinched by the hunter and perform its usual screech. This is actually to fool any nearby hunters into attacking it. If a hunter tries attacking it, Zenith Mizutsune will quickly turn around and smack the hunter away with its tail, causing Blind.

Advancing Tail Spins: Only performed when the Blind ailment is on its tail. It will swing its tail back longer than usual before performing its tail spin and spinning forward two more times. This attack can cause Blind.

Destructive Tail Swipe: Only performed when the Crystallization ailment is on its tail. Zenith Mizutsune will drag its tail on the ground, ripping the ground apart, before tossing a very hard bubble at hunters to the side of it. This bubble will explode on impact and cause Crystallization.

GR600[]

Spinning Recovery: If Zenith Mizutsune is knocked over on its side, it will perform this move. It will get back up on its feet before jumping into the air and sliding around in a circle, sending a barrage of bubbles at nearby hunters.

Mega Firefox Bubble: Just like the HC Mizutsune, this attack can only be performed in Rage Mode. Zenith Mizutsune will swing its head from side to side with its mouth wide open, attempting to breath bubbles at the hunter, though no bubbles will come out. All of sudden, it opens its mouth wide and a huge bubble begins to grow from inside its mouth. As this bubble grows, Zenith Mizutsune is open to attacks but this is very risky. When the huge bubble reaches a certain size, it will pop loudly and damage any hunters heavily that are near it or the Zenith Mizutsune, in some cases even instant KO one. This attack causes Fireblight.

Hop Scotch: If a hunter is floating in the air due to the bubbles, then it will perform this attack. Zenith Mizutsune will jump into the air and hop off the hunter, dropping them down on the ground for additional damage. The more hunters floating the air, the more times it will hop.

Bubbly Body Slam: Zenith Mizutsune stands up on its hind legs before slamming its body on the ground. When it slams its body on the ground, a large barrage of bubbles will be sent at foes around it, causing either Bubbleblight or Fireblight.

GR800[]

Crystal Tornado: Only performed when the Crystallization ailment is on its tail. Zenith Mizutsune begins to slide around in a circle at high speeds before forming a deadly tornado that contains explosive crystals. This attack can cause Crystallization.

Crystallized Armor: In this level, Zenith Mizutsune can actually make armor for itself out of the crystallized bubbles. Zenith Mizutsune will begin to shake the bubblefoam around its body before forming an armor out of the crystallized bubbles. This armor covers its legs, tail, fur, and fins. This increases its defense and allows it to hit harder than before. However, it also moves a bit slower after making this armor.

Notes[]

  • Zenith Mizutsune has further evolved in order to defend itself and its young against a predatory Bird Wyvern that uses the Ice Element.
  • BannedLagiacrus decided to give Zenith Mizutsune crystals due to some of its materials describing crystallized bubbles.
    • Interestingly, BannedLagiacrus almost gave Zenith Mizutsune the Dragon Element, but wanted to stick close to Mizutsune, Soulseer Mizutsune, and HC Mizutsune.
  • Zenith Mizutsune was made due to BannedLagiacrus being underwhelmed by Soulseer Mizutsune and feeling that it could've been much more.
