Incirin (インチリン, Inchirin) is an Elder Dragon.
Incirin features a red body with orange patterns, a furry yellow mane and tail, and a metallic gold horn.
Incirin can generate pillars of fire rather than the lighting strikes and the ice shards employed by its relatives. It can also heat up the air around it to dangerously high temperatures, and can even cover its body in flames and deliver a flaming tackle to enemies or cause a fiery explosion around its like, much like the Teostra.
This Elder Dragon variation is even more aggressive than Kirin and Oroshi Kirin.
Incirin is found only at the Ingle Isle, Tower Summit, and the Battleground.
- Order: Elder Dragon
- Suborder: Phantom Beast
- Family: Incirin
Incirin is a recently discovered Burst Species of Kirin.
Incirin, like Kirin, appear to be capable of surviving in any environment. However, the only known habitats of Incirin in the Old World consist of the Tower Summit, Ingle Isle, and the Battleground.
Incirin's ecological niche is largely unknown. They are suspected to be herbivores, though this has yet to be confirmed. They are known to live with other powerful monsters such as Kushala Daora, Molten Tigrex, Silver Rathalos, Gold Rathian, Akantor, Crimson Fatalis, Raging Brachydios, Varusaburosu, and Voljang.
Incirin's fur is fireproof. This allows it to shroud its body in flames without damaging its fur. They sport a large, golden horn that is considered a valuable crafting material and a priceless treasure. The horn is said to be the source of its power. Even if this horn is destroyed, Incirin can still summon fire with little effort, albeit with reduced power.
Incirin is said to be incredibly aggressive.
- Incirin is a Burst Species (烈種).
- Its hide becomes armored in rage mode and requires Mind's Eye to cut through it.
- The horn can be broken.
- Incirin is based off a flamethrower.
- The idea for this Elder Dragon comes from a hypothetical "Fire Kirin" mentioned in the Monster Appreciation Week blog for Oroshi Kirin.
