Flint Gammoth is a Fanged Beast and a Subspecies of Gammoth introduced in ???.

Physiology[]

Flint Gammoth, like regular Gammoth, resemble Woolly Mammoths. Unlike Gammoth however, Flint Gammoth are a chocolate brown, black, white, instead of blue, red, and white. It still retains the pattern of color. Flint Gammoth has lighter brown armor on its legs, head, and making up its tusks. These tusks are longer and more durable than standard Gammoth tusks. The end of its trunk is more shovel-like, almost resembling its tusks.

Behavior[]

Flint Gammoth are usually more passive than standard Gammoth, though it will attack Tigrex on sight, just like regular Gammoth. The reason for this is because Tigrex will also prey on young Flint Gammoth. When provoked by other large monsters, Flint Gammoth retaliates with barrages of rock and sand flung from its tusks and trunk.

Ecology[]

Minimal - Extremely Low - Low - Average - High - (Extremely High) - Apex - Legend

Habitat Range[]

Flint Gammoth prefers to live in arid environments like the Sandy Plains or the Scorched Desert, as well as polar environments like the Frost Islands.

Ecological Niche[]

While not necessarily high on the food chain due to being an herbivorous creature, Flint Gammoth are still extremely powerful and are able to fend off threats such as Deviljho and Frukaheia, and even Elder Dragons such as Velkhana or Teostra. Usually, smaller predators such as Zinogre or Barioth will not try to take down a full grown Flint Gammoth, due to its sheer size and power, but some like Tigrex will go for their young.

Biological Adaptations[]

Flint Gammoth's armor is even more durable than standard Gammoth's, due to it being covered in a layer of rock. It is able to cover itself in mud and rocks with its shovel-like tusks and trunk, and can also use these to bulldoze into threats or throw massive boulders.
