A distant relative of the Paolumu, the Kamohalumu is flightless, but is perfectly capable of swimming. It draws water into a special sac much like Paolumu does with air.

X	The Kamohalumu is a flightless Flying Wyvern that swims. It can inflate a special sac with water, giving it more abilities, but it also makes it clumsy.

Physiology[]

Kamohalumu is a Flying Wyvern that strongly resembles a platypus. It has a dark colored bill and a hard head. Kamohalumu is also covered in fur. Around the face and down to the neck is an orange color, followed by a cream color. Most of Kamohalumu’s body is brown, including most of the wings. The wings have the orange and cream color around where the claws are and at the tips. Kamohalumu has a tail much like Paolumu’s, but this one is a bit larger and more of a grey color.

Behavior[]

Kamohalumu are generally passive monsters, preferring to avoid being near larger monsters. They spend most of their time swimming through shallow rivers, but they can go deeper underwater if need be. Kamohalumu’s diet consists mostly of smaller neopterons, and the occasional Hermitaur.

Abilities[]

Kamohalumu, despite being similar in stature to Paolumu, cannot fly. It is able to swim however. It has all of the basic physical attacks that Paolumu uses. Kamohalumu can also inflate itself like Paolumu can, but in a different way. Kamohalumu is able to suck in water to inflate the sac in its neck. This causes it to become unpredictable, but also unbalanced. As it moves and turns, the water swishes around, causing the monster to stumble. Kamohalumu can use this to its advantage, as it can throw its weight around and even roll around. It is also able to spit globs of water while inflated. When Kamohalumu deflates, whether on its own or through damage, it sprays out a beam of water that can also damage foes. While swimming through shallow water, Kamohalumu is able to dive under and lunge out. And when completely underwater, Kamohalumu won’t inflate itself. Kamohalumu shares many of its underwater moves with the likes of Plesioth. Another attack it has is a zig zagging charge.
