Molluscataur are Carapaceons that are usually encountered in the Eldritch Forest.
Physiology[]
Molluscataurs are carapaceons that thrive in the grassy plains of the Eldritch Forest. Lying flat like stone until something gets close and the monster launches its mouth at whatever moves. Unlike other Carapaceons, Molluscataurs lack claws but they instead can produce a gooey substance that traps prey items, allowing the monster to feast on the captive meal. They're larger than Hermitaurs and Ceanataurs, being around the size of an adult Popo or Aptonoth.
Behaviour[]
Ambush predators that lie in wait until something steps in their line of sight and then attacks. Very aggressive but tends to not pursue prey past the damp parts of the Forest due to their lack of maneuverability.
