Trailers[]

The Spell, The Sword, and the Sin[]

The trailer begins with a black screen. Suddenly, a trio of indigo claws swipe across the screen while engulfed in bluish-purple flames as an avian wail sounds off. A golden slash mark sweeps across in the opposite direction, accompanied by rapid wingbeats and insectoid chittering. Finally, a pair of red, serpentine eyes glare from the shadows, before purple fangs and crimson flames attack the screen, ending with a shrieking hiss.

The trailer cuts to what appears to be a large, discolored Yen-Tequu which stands before a group of hunters in the Great Forest. It wails, leaping towards them as the hunters charge onward. As they prepare to strike with their weapons, the Yen-Tequu suddenly ignites its wings and tail, launching three fireballs towards the group, who just manage to dodge in time. The wyvern lands gracefully on its feet, lifts its head, and turns to face the hunters. As they prepare once more, it begins to charge a cloud of dust and cinders between its wings. In seconds, it becomes a massive ball of flame, which it launches towards them as the Lance hunter readies his shield. When the fireball slams into the shield, it creates a blinding explosion.

The explosion is actually another cut, this time to a hunter and her Palicos in the Marshlands. She is spotted by a Shogun Ceanataur, which raises its scythe-like claw and swings at her, but instead of meeting the hunter, it meets a golden, chitinous blade of what looks like an oversized Kenkama with prominent features. The hunter has been knocked aside in this great duel of swords, with the Shogun and Kenkama parrying one another's claws for a few moments. A slicing sound effect is heard, followed with a cut to a splatter of blue blood. The two invertebrates stand motionless for a second or two, before the Shogun's scythe claws fall off of its arms, completely cut off, followed by the crab itself not too long after. The Kenkama snaps its gaze to the hunter, the camera zooming into its eye.

This time, the trailer cuts to a sleeping Uragaan in the Volcanic Hollow. It wakes up to a rustling noise, but attempts to return to its slumber. A drop of violet liquid hits its scalp, snapping it to attention with a growl. However, the liquid begins to sizzle and suddenly ignites in a violet inferno, the Uragaan swiftly glaring at a pile of rocks. Two red eyes stare back at it, revealing itself to be a dark-scaled Goravior of immense size, which begins to coil around the Uragaan. As the Brute Wyvern struggles, the Goravior breathes a wicked blast of purple flames upon its chin, actually causing the outer layer to melt as the screen cuts to black after a sickening crunch sounds off.

The icons of Hexfeather Yen-Tequu, Bladesinger Kenkama, and Venomhell Goravior appear on screen, before the trailer ends.
