Warlaros is a Flying Wyvern first introduced in Monster Hunter Destiny on OldFanon but later remade by BannedLagiacrus. It can only be fought as a Burst Species in higher ranks in G-Rank.

Physiology[]

The Wyvern Warlord, Warlaros, is a fiendish-looking creature that looks like a cross between a Gurenzeburu and a Rathalos. It possesses an immense, blade-like horn on its head that it uses to disembowel enemies, and its teeth and tail spikes are filled with venom. Traditionally, the large wings of these creatures are criss-crossed with rips and scars, making it hard for them to fly.

The Warlaros found in the Old New World and Old World have a strange, very dangerous behavior during a full moon.

Habitat[]

In the Old World, Warlaros have only been seen roaming in the Field of the Fallen while also appearing in the Sacred Mountains in the Misty Peaks near the Old New World but the highest chance hunters have to hunt one is in the Field of the Fallen. Its believed that they are traveling to those areas to find and claim more territories.

Attacks and Moves[]

All of this Warlaros' attacks and movements are unique to it and other Warlaros.

Warlord's Challenge: When Warlaros first sees or notices a hunter it will turn towards them, slam its wings on the ground violently two times, and stab its chin into the ground, challenging the hunters. If hunters move in closer, Warlaros will put its horn on the ground and charge forward, sending pieces of armor or rock at hunters as it runs past them. As it runs past them, it will quickly turn around and roar at the hunters, basically saying, Challenge Accepted!

Butcher's Knife: Warlaros will put its head sideways and swing its knife like horn at hunters. As it swings its horn, it will send three spikes from its tail at hunters behind it. This attacks causes Blood (Horn) and Poison (Tail).

Armor Projectiles: If Warlaros is being fought in the Field of the Fallen, it will perform this attack. Warlaros will growl at the hunters before sticking its horn into the armor pile and sending the armor at hunters as projectiles. It will than spin in a circle and send its tail swing at the armor, sending the remaining armor flying around it. This attack does massive damage.

Warlord's Dance: Warlaros will bite forward and swing its tail in front of it while twirl forward, just like the Rathian (4th Gen). This attack causes Defense Down and Poison.

Deception: Warlaros will pretend to get tried and begin to drool as if it was low on stamina. As it drools, it will knock off some of its tail spikes, making them stick to the ground, before Warlaros rushes forward, mouth gapping open, and grabbing a nearby hunter with its powerful jaws. After grabbing the hunter with its jaws, it will fly backwards and slam them down on the spikes, sticking them to the ground with them before Warlaros continues the fight other hunters normally while the hunter is pinned down on the ground. The hunter sticking to the spikes will have to mash buttons to get off of them but they will have to do it quickly due to the poisonous spikes slowly draining their health. If hunters take to long to get off the spikes, the poison will make them faint. This attack causes Defense Down and Poison.

Warlord's Deadly Combo: Warlaros will bite forward as it advances forward with two more bites before it jumps in the air and spins in the direction of the hunters. As it lands after the jump, it will quickly breath a beam of slime sweeping at hunters in front of it to catch any hunters it didn't hit off guard. This beam causes Slimeblight.

Trip! Trip! You Get Confused!: While fighting Warlaros its recommended for hunters to try not to trip to much. If Warlaros is knocked to its side or tripped for a third time hunters need to be on their guard. As Warlaros gets up, it will quickly slam its wings and tail on the ground, making the hunters lose their footing, before inhaling deeply and roaring very loudly, causing Confusion. After roaring, it will begin to fight normally again.

Cuts of a Butcher: Warlaros will walk towards the hunters like the Black Gravios (4th Gen) before rising its head and swing its horn wildly like a serial killer as it walks forward from side to side as it repeats the pattern four times. This attack causes Blood.

Star Slime Spit: Slime will begin to drip from Warlaros' mouth before it raises its head up and closes its eyes. After closing its eyes, it will than spit large blobs of slime into the air. These blobs will land around it in a star formation before they all explode at the same time. There will only be five large blobs around it before they all explode at the same time. This attack causes Slimeblight.

Frontal Charge: Warlaros will charge forward similar to how it charged forward in Warlord's Challenge but with a minor difference. Unlike before, it will end the charge by throwing a rock or pile of armor in front of it and taking to the air swing that object away with its tail at hunters before landing back on the ground. This attack causes Blood.

Savage Bites of the Warlord: Warlaros will begin to violently bite at the hunters before crunching forward and chasing a hunter like Pac-Man chasing ghost as it bites at them, making the hunters flee. Warlaros will follow closely and quickly behind the hunter before roaring after making it a certain distance after the hunter. Hunters can take advantage of its biting and use this time to heal up. This attack causes Defense Down.

Rage Mode: When Warlaros takes enough damage, it will fly backwards violently before landing and quickly inhaling deeply. As it inhales deeply, Warlaros will take a step forward and roar loudly. When it roars, multiple sparks will appear around its roar, causing Confusion, and if a small distance away, the wind from the roar will push the hunters backwards.

Falling Spikes: In Rage Mode, Warlaros will fly in the air and breath a beam of slime on the ground as it circles with around with it. After making a circle, it will swing its tail and send multiple spikes on the slime. The slime will than turn red and explode sending the spikes flying into the air. After the explosion, Warlaros will and roar into the air. For a few seconds, its spikes will run down from the sky randomly on top of the area and over the heads of the hunters. These spikes will cause Poison if hunters hit by them.

Defense Down Gas Emit: Warlaros will get on its knees like Gravios and emit gas from its wings that lowers the defense off hunters. Unlike Gravios, when it performs the attack in Rage Mode, it will slam its wings and tail to push some of the gas closer to hunters far away for extra effectiveness. This gas causes Defense Down. If its wings are broken, a large puddle of slime will drip from its wings and under it as it performs attack, adding Slimeblight to the attack.

Warlord's Counter: Similar to Trip! Trip! You Get Confused!, if Warlaros is tripped or knocked down for a third time, it will perform this attack. Warlaros will slam down its wings before lunging forward with its horn, knocking a hunter down to the ground. Warlaros will proceed to turn around before sharpening its horn like a knife on the ground and greatly raising its horn in the air. As it raises its horn, Warlaros will screech at the full moon and slam its powerful horn through the hunter before raising its head up and using its feet to take the hunter off its horn. This attack can instant kill hunters and also causes Blood.

Wind Gust Surprise: Warlaros will flap its wings forward two times before flying backwards, sending hunters in the air with powerful winds in the air. Warlaros will than fly forward and send hunters out of the air with its poisonous tail. This attack causes Poison.

Warlord's Wrath: Warlaros will slam both feet into the ground, causing a quake effect, before Warlaros stabs its horn into the ground and walks in circle with its horn cutting the ground. After cutting through the armor in a circle, it will walk forward and fly into the air before breathing slime in the circle and using its tail to knock some of the armor at hunters. After a few seconds, the slime will explode and send armor at hunters. This causes both Poison and Slime.

Over The Knife: Warlaros will slam a foot into the ground and send hunters into the air, flying towards its horn. The hunters will than fall to the ground helpless before a meter appears on their screen. The Warlaros will than proceed to raise its horn stab each hunter with its horn three times as it goes from left to right to right to left. If three hunters are able to escape the pin, this pin leaves Warlaros open to a lot of attacks. If one or more hunters take to long to get out of the pin, Warlaros will proceed to stab its horn through one and grab another with its feet. It will fly up into the air like Seregios and throw that hunter at another hunter to deal heavy damage before sending poisonous spikes behind that hunter to catch any hunters that were missed. This attack causes Blood and Poison.

Warlord of the Full Moon[]

Warlord of the Full Moon: When Warlaros loses 50% of its health, it will go into this powerful hidden Rage Mode. Warlaros will fly to the middle of the Field of the Fallen before it looks up at the full moon. As it looks up at the full moon, its eyes will turn a ghostly white along with its shell. A thin layer of crystals will begin to form on its old wounds, its rips, and its knife-like horn. Its tail spikes will begin to fall from its tail before crystals form into spikes and replaces them. Warlaros will than put its head down and slam its tail down on the ground before dramatically howling loudly in the air.

In this Rage Mode, Warlaros becomes much faster than before and is lot more unpredictable.

Warlaros' flying is a lot better than before and it can now perform tricks in the air that it couldn't done before.

Warlaros' tail spikes and horn can now only cause Crystallization.

Warlaros can combine its attacks a lot better than ever before.

Warlaros gains nine new attacks in this mode and three of its previous attacks are greatly improved.

Three Way Slime-Defense Down Beam: Warlaros will take two steps back and suck in air before breathing a beam that combines Slimeblight with Defense Down. Similar to the G-Rank Plesioth(MHF-G), the beam will go in three different directions at once, catching hunters off guard. After breathing the beams, Warlaros will put its head on the ground and rub the rest of the substance on the ground in front of it before it explodes. This attack causes Slimeblight and Defense Down.

Skipping Charge of the Warlord: Warlaros will rise its wings and point its horn down on the ground before it not only charges forward but also jumps one space in between each smashed armor piece, allowing it to cover more distance with more speed. This attack is based on the HC Gold Rathian's(MHF-G)Charge.

Quaking Crystals: Warlaros will slam its huge wings, tail, and horn into the ground before Warlaros summons crystals from the ground around it. The moment the crystals are summoned around it, Warlaros will use its tail to send the crystals flying towards nearby hunters, causing Crystallization.

Crystal Spit: Warlaros will put its head on the ground and breath three crystal balls on the ground that will roll towards hunters. As they roll, Warlaros will quickly dash behind a hunter push them towards the crystal balls. If hunters come to close to the balls, the balls will explode almost instantly and leave behind a gas that causes Defense Down. If the balls are left to roll forward before stopping, the balls will leak out a gas that causes Defense Down before exploding. This attack causes Defense Down and Crystallization.

Warlord Crystal Airstrike: It will begin to hover in the air and let its tail swing hang down on the ground as it flies forward at hunters. As it flies forward, the crystal spikes on its tail will be left behind on the ground to explode behind it. When it makes it to the point of the hunters, it will fly up and swing more crystal spikes on the ground under it before landing. After this attack, it will quickly flap its wings once and send the crystal fragments that filled its ripped wings on the ground for additional damage before continuing on by a follow up attack known as Butcher's Flight. This attack causes Crystallization.

Butcher's Flight: Warlaros will look at one hunter before leaving the area by flying into the air. After a few seconds, a huge shadow will eclipse the moon and fly at great speed at one hunter dead on. This shadow is Warlaros, who has set its sights on one particular hunter. It will dive bomb the hunter and try to kill them with immense force from its powerful horn. When Warlaros hits the ground with its horn, it will either stab through the hunter before it uses its foot to take them off its horn or it will be stuck in the ground for a few seconds if it misses the hunter. This attack can instantly kill a hunter and cause Crystallization.

Defense Down Aura: As Warlaros is emitting gas from under its wings, it will sometimes continuously release this gas from its wings forming a temporary aura around it that acts as a defensive weapon against hunters. This aura causes Defense Down and stays around it for one minute. It can also get rid of this aura by performing the Wind Gust Surprise attack.

Warlord's Demon Dance!: Warlaros' horn will begin to glow red and it will stand in place while stabbing its horn forward like a Dual Sword before jumping backwards and sending hunters into the air with an uppercut with its horn.

Over the Knives: Just like Over The Knife, Warlaros will slam a foot into the ground and send hunters into the air, flying towards its horn. The hunters will than fall to the ground helpless before a meter appears on their screen. The Warlaros will than proceed to raise its horn but than unexpectedly fly into the air and proceed to spin upwards in the air, sending multiple razor sharp crystals around where the hunters are at. It will than land and slowly raise its wings up before flapping them in a sinister manner as Waralros begins to shine like the moon. As it flaps its wings, small crystals will stab the hunters each time it flaps its wings as hunters try to escape the pin. If hunters are able to break out of the pin, Warlaros is open to a lot of attacks coming from the hunters though if hunters take to long to break free, Warlaros will jump up and leave a large crystal ball on the ground before it explodes, causing Crystallization.

Windstorm Surprise: This!

Conquered Land: Warlaros will jump into the middle of the area before sticking its wings, tail, and horn into the huge armor covered field. When it does this, the ground under the armor will begin to glow white and Warlaros will than stand upright and spitting up large amounts of blood from previous challengers into the air, making a bloody rain. Warlaros will than violently slam its horn into the ground, making a large number of crystals appear from under the hunters feet, before Warlaros proceeds to roar. When it roars, the moon will turn red before it flies into the air and breaths a strange vapor into the air. This vapor will cause crystalized meteors to strike the area randomly and turn the area into a walking warzone where blood rains from the sky and crystal mines hit the ground. If the meteors hit the crystals on the ground, it will cause them to explode instantly without them needing to take their time. This attack causes Blood, Defense Down, Slimeblight, Confusion, and Crystallization and can instant kill multiple hunters at once.

Notes[]

  • Compared to other Warlaros, the Warlaros in the Old World almost seem supernatural.
    • Its believed that these Warlaros are some type of Subspecies of the ones already seen.
  • The Warlaros in the Old World have been seen fighting Burst Species Wilolu, Shoji Akalis, and even Fatalis.
  • Warlaros is said to be able to destroy whole villages and towns with a single powerful roar.
  • From how rare these monsters are in the Old World, the Guild let very few hunters hunt them do to most hunters being killed by Warlaros, becoming a part of the Warlord's past battles.
  • With an item from Warlaros known as the Warlord's Vocal Chords, its said that when its opened or cut hunters can hear the cries of every enemy it has killed in battle.
  • Interestingly, Warlaros has antibodies that can fight off the effects of the Frenzy Virus.
  • In the past, many warlords had a Warlaros as a pet to guard their kingdoms and to claim more territories for them.
